Born in 1955 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Lives and works between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. She got her degrees in Art History from the Beaux-Arts and in photography from the University of Boston, USA. She has been working internationally since 2002, with many exhibitions around the world.

Her works can be found in several museums and collections in Brazil and abroad such as the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo; Institute of Contemporary Art in Brumadinho; Institut Moreira Salles in Rio de Janeiro; Victoria & Albert Museum in London; Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris; Istituto Italo-Latino Americano in Rome. Claudia Jaguaribe enlarges the traditional formats of photography by creating photographic sculptures and installations. ­In 2013, she becomes the joint founder of publisher Editora Madalena. In 2018, she worked on the project Lina House, book and installation. In 2019, she presented a large exhibition in Hangar.
