Exhibitions at Hangar: In the Shadow of Trees (PBF06)

Jelle Brandt Corstius (NL, 1978) is a journalist and a Dutch correspondent specialising in Russia. He is also a publicist and a producer of programmes.

Jeroen Toirkens (NL, 1971) studied photography at the Royal Academy for the Visual Arts in The Hague. He has been a photographer and producer of independent films since 1995. He won the prestigious Canon Prize for his Nomad project in 2011.

Jelle Brandt Corstius and Jeroen Toirkens previously worked together on the Nomad project, which saw them go in search of the last nomads living in the northern hemisphere. Borealis is the subject of a book, published in 2020. This project was exhibited at the Fotomuseum Den Haag (NL) in 2021.
