HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
The PBF Prize, organized by PhotoBrussels Festival, is a ‘carte blanche’ for a photographic exhibition (either solo or as a group) on the year theme. This is the opportunity for one or more photographers and/or one curator to have their work displayed and to showcase their project through an original scenography which will make the very most of the medium.
The following points must be respected
The project must be original and unpublished
The artist(s) must appropriate the space, create a relevant scenography and propose a considered staging plan
The artist(s) must explore the photographic medium in the broad sense
A (maximum) budget (to be confirmed) in production costs must be respected

The chance to exhibit in a dedicated, unique space in the heart of Brussels
The opportunity to benefit from the communication and high profile of PhotoBrussels Festival, which attracted 9000 visitors in 2019
A dedicated page in the festival catalogue/internet site and all the communication media associated with the Festival
A chance to meet the visitors to PBF05, including journalists and collectors
Jury members
The jury is made up of experts in photography and contemporary art. It will select the winning project on the basis of the criteria set out above. The jury members of the 5th edition PBF Prize will be announced in June 2020.
Registrations
Application will be open from June 2020, stay tuned!
Key dates
June - July 2020: registrations and project submissions.
Early September 2020: announcement of the 3 finalist projects on the website (the names of the three finalists will be mentioned in the exhibition).
September 2020: the finalists present their project to the Jury (Brussels).
September 2020: announcement of the winning project and signature of the agreement between the winner and PhotoBrussels Festival
October 2020: production of the exhibition
19 November 2020: opening of PhotoBrussels Festival 05.
