Live and work in the Netherlands. Ferry van Tongeren studied at the Willem de Kooning Art Academy, and Jaap Sinke at the Art Academy in Tilburg. After a career of 20 years as Art and Creative Directors working for several Dutch and International Brands, they decided to work for two years solely on creating their art collection. A collection of works using Taxidermy as a medium. In 2011 they founded DSvT (Darwin, Sinke & van Tongeren).
The results of their effort were exhibited in London (Jamb, Photo London), in Amsterdam (Stedelijk Museum, PAN Amsterdam, Haute Photographie), in San Francisco (SJAS Ken Fulk) and Brussels. Their work is part of several collections all over the world, including the Damien Hirst’s Murderme Collection. They were asked to co-curate a whole exhibition for the Museum Old Amelisweerd in The Netherlands with their Fine Taxidermy artworks in 2017.
