Born in 1966 in Châteaurou, France. Lives and works in Paris. As an autodidact photographer, Jean-Baptiste Huynh taught himself photographic lighting and printing techniques, which he mastered to the point of developing a personal style.

Between 2006 and 2012, he made a study of light through five photographic projects: Mirrors (2006), Twilight (2007), Fire (2008), Monochrome (2009), Louvre (2010) and Blind (2011). These projects were gathered in the book Lumière along with the personal exhibition presented at the Louvre Museum in Paris.

He is the author of fifteen personal books and he has won several awards, such as the Prix Moins Trente from the National Center for Photography (CNP) in France.His work has been exhibited in major galleries and museums in France and abroad: Louvre Museum in Paris; Phoenix Art Museum; Photographic Cultural Center in Tokyo; European House of Photography (MEP) in Paris; Guimet Museum in Paris; Multimedia Museum of Art in Moscow, among others.
